Philosophy and Mission

Philosophy and Mission of Workforce Chaplains of America (WCOA)

WCOA was founded with the historical purpose of providing the highest quality spiritual care to employees and their families. This is achieved through 24/7/365 days per year of spiritual care counseling services that are strictly voluntary, neutral, and confidential.

Our Philosophy

As a spiritual care organization, WCOA, firmly believes that spiritual care should be approached as genuine interaction, emanating from a heart filled with love, compassion, dignity, and respect. Beyond mere tolerance and vulnerability, our goal is to foster a sense of connectedness that leads individuals to a higher state of self-awareness and interconnectedness with others and the Creator.

As a multi-disciplinary team of chaplains from diverse faith backgrounds, WCOA strives to offer spiritual care that is effective and dependable. We are guided by the belief that each person seeking spiritual attention should receive care tailored to their religious and spiritual faith. Our aim is to engage with every employee client in a comforting and supportive manner, facilitating their journey towards improved self-worth, spiritual wholeness, and enhanced work productivity in the marketplace.
